A38 Proposed Derby Junction Road Works

The Friends of Markeaton Park support the petition to Save the trees in and around the Park:-

The ONLY way to achieve the zero target for emmissions, set June 2019 by the Conservative government, is to keep the trees and nature sites that absorb Carbon Dioxide. Works on the A38 will mean the loss of a substantial number of mature trees which form part of Markeaton Park.
 
Further more the work, which will be carried out over a number of years, will cause major disruption on the roads. The Friends of Markeaton Park are concerned that the disruptions will be detrimental to people visiting the park and to local businesses.
